New Bridge Street

I hope if you are here it means you enjoy reading historical romance as much as I love writing it…

My strong heroes meet heroines who can more than stand up for themselves in encounters that come spiced with a twist of humour and plenty of passion. Most of my books are set during the “long” Regency but I have ventured into the 1640s, AD410 and the 1780s and written about places as far flung as India, Anatolia and Corfu.

I also write non-fiction – walks through late Georgian and Regency London, books about travel by stagecoach, the Great North Road, the first tourists to the Waterloo battlefield and, most recently, the story of the development of the English seaside resorts in the Georgian age, a classified guide to Regency slang and a guide to following the great coaching routes of Georgian Britain. You’ll find them all on the Non-Fiction section of the Books page.
