Cover for The Hazardous Measure of Love

The final book in the five-part Time Into Time series is finally finished! The Hazardous Measure of Love is published on 11 January 2021.

This isn’t the end of the mysterious happenings in the market town of Welhampstead, but that will have to wait for a new series. In the meantime I have just begun a new book for Harlequin Mills & Boon. All I can tell you at the moment is that the hero is chilly, the heroine is no shrinking maiden and the situation is decidedly perilous.

A Marquis In Want of a Wife by Louise Allen

A Marquis In Want of a Wife, number three in my five-book Liberated Ladies series is out at the end of November as an ebook and in paperback on December 1st.

Number four, The Earl’s Reluctant Proposal, is also available for pre-order for February next year and I have just sent the final book, Melissa’s story, to my editor – so fingers crossed, that will be out next year too.

What’s next? That will be book five in my time travel adventures of Cassie Lawrence with her lover from 1807, Luc Franklin, Earl of Radcliffe – I’m planning for a January publication date for that. You can find all the books together for both series here.

A Marquis In Want of a Wife by Louise Allen

Ever since June I have been head down over the keyboard – the result of foolishly agreeing deadlines too close together, with the second at the end of this month! But it does mean that I will have completed all five books in the Liberated Ladies series. A Marquis In Want of a Wife (Prue’s story) is out in December and The Earl’s Reluctant Proposal (Lucy’s story) in February 2021. You can read more about them on the Books page. The final book, as yet unfinished, untitled, and unscheduled, is Melissa’s story, the one I am working on now.

When that is finished I will be starting work on the next installment of the Time Into Time series which, as always seems to happen, is vigorously writing itself in my head and distracting me from what I should be doing.

Beach Hut Surprise

June and – here in the Northern Hemisphere at least – time to head for the beach, even if only in our imaginations.

I’ve joined forces with five wonderful authors to write about the happenings in the beach huts of Little Piddling, a small seaside resort with great ambitions – and a hotbed of romance laced with mysteries and scheming and visited by some very unexpected characters.

From the pens of Sophie Weston, Lesley Cookman, Joanna Maitland, Liz Fielding, Sarah Mallory and myself you’ll find a wide variety of holiday reads. Find out more and read an extract from my story here.
